Total eBiz Solutions and Microsoft Champion Women in Tech through Code; Without Barriers Hackathon 2025

Total eBiz Solutions (TeBS) is proud to have been part of the Code; Without Barriers Hackathon 2025, hosted by Microsoft, reaffirming our shared commitment to inclusive innovation and talent development in AI. Held between April 23 and June 8, 2025, with a closing ceremony on June 25, the hackathon was part of Microsoft’s broader Code; Without Barriers initiative, which aims to equip 10,000 women across Asia Pacific with skills in AI and data by 2027.

This year’s challenge, “Intelligent Incident Resolution with AI Assistance,” invited participants to solve a critical enterprise IT challenge using Generative AI. Large organizations manage thousands of incident tickets every month—often repetitive, inconsistently documented, and manually triaged. Participants were asked to develop AI-powered solutions that could automatically summarize incidents, recommend resolution steps, and offer conversational support via a virtual assistant. Leveraging Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Search, and LangChain, the solutions were built to enhance IT service desk efficiency—particularly for L1 agents—by streamlining ticket handling and enabling intelligent knowledge reuse.

This year’s Hackathon delivered some impressive statistics, and we’re happy to share some of those highlights:

  • 5054 female registrations, with approximately 69% having prior Azure experience
  • Participants from 21 countries, with top contributions from India, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, New Zealand, and Japan
  • 12 customer and partner organizations
  • 14 problem statements submitted by customers and partners, with 4 additional problem statements from Microsoft in both English and Japanese
  • 76 successful project submissions
  • 42 winners announced across categories

TeBS and Microsoft were truly impressed by the creativity and practical ingenuity showcased across submissions. Participants demonstrated strong technical ability in building modular API suites and intelligent assistant interfaces that integrate seamlessly with enterprise ITSM tools. The projects not only addressed real-world pain points in IT support but also reflected the strength of diverse thinking in technical problem-solving.

As an advocate for digital innovation and diversity in tech, TeBS remains deeply aligned with the mission of Code; Without Barriers. The hackathon provided participants with valuable mentorship, exposure to enterprise AI use cases, and access to cutting-edge Microsoft technologies—all vital experiences for women looking to advance in the AI space.

The event concluded with a celebration of top-performing teams and individuals. Priyanshu Furia was awarded first place, receiving a $400 prize funded by Microsoft, a paid internship or project stipend opportunity from TeBS, and a three-month mentorship with a Senior Solution Architect. Suruchi Kumari earned second place, receiving a $200 prize also funded by Microsoft. These awards highlight the incredible potential and emerging leadership of women technologists across the region.

By collaborating with Microsoft on this important initiative, Total eBiz Solutions continues to champion AI-driven innovation and inclusive growth. We remain dedicated to supporting women in technology through structured mentorship, hands-on learning, and meaningful projects that empower the next generation of leaders. The success of the Code; Without Barriers Hackathon 2025 marks yet another step toward building a more inclusive, skilled, and impact-driven technology ecosystem.
